Folks,
I have had some success with moose calling but I am only able to approximate a cow call. I'm well aware that there are many vocalizations in the moose repertoire. Anyone able to recommend an available calling CD or DVD which can help expand understanding and knowledge of some appropriate calls for mid and post rut?? I've noticed that very little calling in terms of frequency is better. Added to this would likely be a few very short "Whuah" vocalisations, maybe? I use a birchbark call. Here in Quebec we have a "bull only" season every other year and this Fall is bull only. Calling cows is easy but bringing Mr. Bull out into the open is frustratingly difficult once the main rut has cooled like it is during our rifle season.
Thanks for any help possible,
FM
