Wow, I remember reading this almost a decade ago and have been thinking about searching for it for awhile now. It always stood out as the most memorable post on CGN to me. Too bad the fella is banned, if he ever reads this, thank you for your story, it's stuck with me for years.

Strangely enough, it is also the only reason why I have never considered buying an Argo.

I know more than a couple of guys who bought Argos because "they're obviously awesome".................. until they're not.

Buddy of mine bought one brand new a couple years ago.
He figures it costs about $75/hr to operate it.
Quad works just fine for what I do...
