Howdy fellow moose hunters,
I've finally accumulated enough points with the girlfriend to go to my father-in-law's hunting cabin: Woot!!
I know it's late, but with the new house, the new baby, etc, time was unfortunately not available sooner for a trip to the cabin. We'll do a bit of trail work, setting up some salt blocs, etc.
I've also been reading about a way to provide salts and minerals in a controlled way. By screwing a pierced (a couple of holes a couple of inches above the bottom of the bucket) bucket on top of a cutted tree and putting your mineral powders in the bucket. When it rains and water accumulates in the bucket, it will disolve some of the minerals and once it accumulates enough to reach the holes in the bucket, it will leak on the tree supporting the bucket.
Anyone has done something similar? Any success stories?
Cheers,
Fish
