moose in Sask bush.

I know numbers are low and I don't expect anyone to give up their
favorite spot, but is anyone seeing moose in the bush in Saskatchewan?
I'm planning on going to some of the general tag zones in October. I went to 57 last
year and was unimpressed as were the guys who've hunted there for years. I'd rather drive further if it means being successful than try to save a tank of gas and see nothing.

I was in the Porcupine Forest north of Preeceville on the weekend, saw a few sets of tracks but no animals.

I think the forest zones have a lot fewer moose than the southern zones right now.

I've seen them walking along (and across!) highway 10 between Balgonie and Fort Qu'Appelle all summer long.

I have also seen a few dead ones splattered across the highway between Regina and Saskatoon, just West of Chamberlain.

That's a nice area, but the general zones are from 55 and up. Theres moose walking around Swift Current, but I just moved from AB little over a year ago so I won't get drawn for a while.
