Moose scent

Ive been sucsessfully hunting moose for many years. Ive always thought about trying a scent. Went into Canadain Tire today to have a look They have TINKS and CODE BLUE that synthetic, and another one(cant recall the name) which is supposed to be real cow urin...you can even smell it through the plastic bottle.

The real stuff seems to be the way to go, but Im just curious about how good the synthetics are?

Your own urine will work just as well.

First thing my guide did when I shot my bull was to zip-tie his wang. He collected the urine (they only use rutting male urine) in a bottle and offered it to me for a whiff. It did not smell "bad". It was musky and citrus-like. Any commercial urine product I have smelled had a rotten odor.

If the bull moose are so ###ed up that they will come to urin, almost any call you can make will bring them in. If you sneeze you may have to hide behind a tree!
Trouble is, at that stage who wants to eat them?
