It's my first.

We were in Northern BC for 4 days with only one very distant sighting of a moose. My friend and I went for a walk through the poplar trees right by our camp and spooked this fella, tracked him 200 yrds. and then called him back in.

Finally dropped him at 35 yrds.

How do you track a moose for 200 yards in those leaves without wearing slippers?

Definitely not ninjas!! When we spooked him he was in such a hurry that he was making 5x the noise we were. After 200 yards we got to a small clearing and decided to wait and call because it was the only spot we might be able to shoot. Turns out it was the right decision!

It was shot with a trusty .30-06 and a .375 H+H. I haven't measured the spread on it yet, I would guess it's close to 48".
