More accurate 9mm or .45 ACP?

if, the 9mm is the same as a 38 in accuracy then why is it not used more often in bulleye, ie; S&W 52 vs glock 9mm, same shooter better groups with the 52, imho

That's an apples and oranges comparison; of course a dedicated target pistol will outshoot a "duty" grade one. A more fair comparison would be the 952 in 9mm vs. the 52 in .38 Special wadcutter or test barrels with universal receivers.

At any rate, the question is academic for the probably 95% of handgun shooters who cannot shoot to the accuracy potential of even the Glock.
