First it was the mag assembly lip, now the firing pin broke...
This after I put a lot of time and effort in to tearing it completely down and cleaning everything possible (it was very gunky, should have took pics). The thing was failing to eject as well. Good ol Cooey... Think it's time to get a SR-22 and hang the Cooey on the wall.

Why not contact Western Gun Parts in Calgary. They can probably supply you with a new firing pin.

I could also ask around this forum. But my mind set is the same as someone who just bought a Lemon (vehicle), how many more repairs before you get a new one? I'm pretty sure I'll eventually get a new firing pin.

Why not buy a savage 64 and you can feel like you resurrected the thing. THey even make a tactical version now and in another 50 years, when it needs a parts donor, you'll have your old Cooey to call on.

If that's the model the same as the savage 64, just call savage and get a new firing pin. They're $6 if I remember. I had to buy a bolt for my Lakefield 64b and got two firing pins. Very cheap and good to deal with. Savage website has the number for parts.
