Just got the phone call that my bullet sleeve for the .444 Marlin was ready. This one was built to specs by a Hutterite friend down the road. I like the mix of red and black leather. He's building another all black for my 336XLR (stainless and laminate stock).

I had a 10 round sleeve on my Guide Gun, unfortunately the gun was stolen and and when the police returned it the sleeve was gone:mad: I guess Im gonna get another one made, probably go with a 5 rounder this time.

Did he cover the back the brass eyelets so they won't scratch the finish on the butt?

Rick

Good point Rick, that was an issue for me too. but the laces go through the eyeletes and inherently protect the stock for scaring the wood. Good point though....:):)

gitrdun did you consider any padding under the top?
a place to rest the cheek.

No I hadn't. The gun fits me real well and comes up nicely too. I suppose that one could get another couple thicknesses of padding sewn on the cheek side. The nice thing about these is that Jason will make them to spec., colour, fit, whatever one wants. :)
