I have been using RL 15 powder in my .223 rem and have notice barrel when cleaning has a lot more black residue than other powders I have been using,
Varget, H4895 & VT 540.
I usually run Hoppes Benchrest and a couple clean patches, and they are black as ace of spades, then I run copper brush with Hoppes and dry patch out clean, and have to use Hoppes on patch again to get barrel clean, and coat barrel with hoppes and leave overnight, first patch has some black residue no sign colour of copper fouling.
