i placed an order ten days ago for brass and bullets. service person called and said most items we not avalable but on back order. i asked how long and was told they don't know. i told them to ship the 100 brass and two boxes of noz a/b they had. two days ago i recieved email confermation they would be shipping canada post $12.95. yesterday some snotty kid called to say they would be shipping dhl with hazzarus goods charges. i asked why he said cause i was buying bullets. i explained they were bullets not loaded ammo and could be shipped canada post. i was told they new what they were doing in a snotty tone. i told the kid to ship post or keep the order. don't know if there sending or not. this will be my last order from them if i ever recieve it. over the years i have spent thousands at wholesale. seems like every order i place there service continues to decline.

Thats okay......i placed an order for 1000 large and 1000 small CCI primers from them. I got a call saying that there is a shortage of primers all across Canada cause they were all being sent to the US Army......I thought the kids was joking so I laughed. He said nope that it was true.....i canceled the rest of my order thru them.

same here my buddy and I placed an order for a bag of .300wm brass, .22-250 brass, 200 50gr vmax's, 200 53gr Xbullets, 100 165gr TTSX's, mag primers, LGR primers.....got a call saying the 53tsx's are discontinued, and all teh rest but the 165gr TTSX's were back order....so guess what CANCEL THE WHOLE ORDER!!! looks like they are loosing a ton of money in sales.

I have always been this close to ordering stuff from WSS, but everytime I read threads like this, it pushes me further away.

Me too, just got a call that my Barnes x in .224 were no longer been made, and the brass was on back order, and the primers were out of stock. All that like a week later..........piss me off. Placed my order from Higginson powders on Monday and they arrived to day. Sweet.:)

i have tried ordering stuff from them twice.. each time they mess it up.. I don't even bother with them any more.. at the end its just a waste of time.

I've never been a 'fan' of WSS and their attitude. While I've never ordered goods from them I have stopped in at their Edmonton store on a few occasions and was never too impressed with their customer service, or rather lack thereof. I stopped in recently while back that way on a Mule Deer hunt and I don't have any complaints. While there I picked up a set of 348W dies and shell holder. It was obvious they had dies but questionable on the shell holder. The lady I was dealing with was quite adamant there was one and virtually tore the display rack apart, and yes, there was one. She deserves an A+ for her effort and you can't get better service effort than that. P&d is my favorite in the area by far, but yes, I won't hesitate stopping in @ WSS on my next 'visit'.

I live in the east. A friend of mine is a truck driver. I asked him if he would try to buy me some powder and bullets from the business in question next time he was in the area, which he claims he did. They told him no go without a firearms license. Is my friend putting me on or are they that bad?

I ordered a marlin GG from them; I am very particular about asking for a tracking number in these cases. The girl over the phone said not to worry; they will e-mail the tracking number to me as soon as the shipment goes out, which would be the next day.
She took all my info and my email address.

4 days pass by and I haven’t received any emails from them.
I call them, wait 30 in on the phone to try and talk to someone.

Apparently they lost some of my information in order to complete the registration and were not even planning on shipping the gun out and they didn’t even think of calling me.
Needless to say how furious I was about the situation.

Whole sale sports never again for me.

The only time I went into the Kamloops WSS store was a sheer p^ss off. I called a day earlier and asked if they had an 8lb keg of Titegroup, 5000 CCI small pistol primer and 5000 CCI large pistol primer in stock. The guy said he had it in stock and I told the guy that I'd be passing through the next day and asked if he could put the stuff aside and offered to prepay for it with a credit card and he said he would put it aside in with my name and cell number on it and that there was no need to prepay as he'll hold the stuff only until closing. I get there and they didn't have anything put aside. I mention the guy's name and no one has heard of him. The manager said he'd sell me 8-1lb containers of Titegroup, 50-100 pack CCI large pistol primers and 50-100 pack CCI small pistol primers at a much higher individually package cost. I may have wanted the stuff but I said forget it. What a waste of time. I still buy the odd item from them (usually call it in) but only if they have it in stock (the last time I waited over 10 months for a back order to be filled). This probably explains why I don't spend a lot of money there. ;)

I love these threads--the more you trash WSS the more of you stay out--and makes the customer service easier to get--now if you could just do something about the mall ninja's.

I deal regularly with the mail order and in person in S'toon and have done so for many years without any major issues. You might as well get used to primer and powder shortages as that seems to be the name of the game right now.

I called them 7 or 8 times in one day trying to get a Remington rifle. Each time the receptionist put me through to the firearms desk, as she called it and no one would pick up the phone. About the 6th time I called she said "I don't know why they aren't picking up...it's dead in here today".
So I call the manager. He was less than impressed to answer 2 questions and said you have to call shipping.
Maybe going in the store is better but I will never attempt to buy there again.

I called to order loading equipment, to see if it was in stock and price of shipping. The receptionest put me through to the gunroom and i was on hold for 20 min. I called 5 times, the last time i told her they wont answer the phone. She told me it was hunting season. Halloween at the time. I told her that Walmart doesn't close there store just for candy sales. She hung up the phone.
