Hello All,
I bought a Russian Mosin Nagant M91/30 sniper rifle made in Izhevsk factory with PU scope, 2 years ago. The wooden furniture were not re-varnished and the forestock's shellac finish is peeling off unlike other Mosins these days where they are all refinished. I presumed the previous owner never touched the stock as they are in original condition. Question is.... Is there anyway to tell that this is the real sniper rifle? Some say that Tula rifles are more authentic than Izzies. Thanks all.
