Mosin Ammunition

I'm wondering what ammunition is good to shoot for the Mosin in looking at surplus ammo right now I know wholesale sports has 1000 rounds for 250 or something don't know what manufacturer it is.

anything 7.62x54r there is no one manufacturer of surplus there is many and who made it is the person buying it best guess it came out of military stock most likely in some ex-soviet country. surplus will shoot center of mass out to 100 yards at the end of the day that's what it was made to do

I find that the 1960s Chinese ball surplus is the most accurate out of a Mosin-Nagant. TradeEx might still have it. Good smell for surplus powder as well (as weird as that sounds). I've had problems with this stuff in an SVT-40 though.

The least accurate for me has been the newer Canada Ammo Chinese surplus (Machine gun ammo from 2011).

The Bulgarian and Russian stuff is good too, can't really go wrong.
