Ok, hoping not to draw too much flak with this....

Want to put a bent bolt on my mosin so I can put a scope, would rather not ruin the bolt body I have now, would like a replacement but finding one in stock somwhere has been impossible. Even if I took the route of sending mine off, which I am not sure of, is there anyone actually in Canada that is known to do it? Would prefer southern ontario but an actual Canadian doing it would be nice.

Has anyone else done this? I have thought about getting a spare bolt body (can find them at least) and using that one, I have a fair bit of experince with metal and I would be confident in cutting it and tapping and bending and setting ect, but I have no access to a welder, nor the skill for one.

Suggestions?

west rifle have the bent bolt handles ,all you have to do is cut off the straight handel drill and tap and then tread on the bent bolt handel you can use lock tight on the threades if you dont have access to a welding machine .If there is amachenist near by take it to him have it welded and machined and your in busnises.

I've done the ATI thing...just don't. I aquired a virgin bolt from tradex & everything worked out well. But get a gunsmith to do it & that usually requires 6 weeks min.
