mosin extractors?

wondering if anyone knows where to get an extractor for a mosin nagant? I tried tradeex and they were out of stock, can't seem to find anyone who is either in canada or willing to ship here :/

buymilsurp.com in the usa sell a bolthead+extractor for $25.00 and they ship to canada,take the extractor to put on your bolt head.. As mg4201 said,Marstar might have, try Epps also.

What about just buying a new bolt head with extractor? It would probably be easier to find a bolt head as opposed to just an extractor.

The extractors on the bolt head are hammered into position and are not suppose to come out. If they are taken out too much, they will be loose and will not extract properly. The same goes for an extractor that is say too small for the extractor groove on a particular bolt head due to manufacturing tolerances.

It may be easier, perhaps cheaper, to source out a replacement bolt head with an extractor present.

when you change bolt heads check headspace.

or measure both heads with a good micrometer.

do not change your bolthead

If the new one wont fit then gentlly file or stone the dovetail on the extractor until it does if it is too small to fit PM me an I will explain how to peen it. replacing the bolt head will compromise the headspace. If you need help getting the old one out PM me. mosins are a bit of an obsession with me an there is not much I have'nt done to one or tried to do to one. no need to make the same mistakes I did it is way easier to learn from mine.
