Every shot i take I have to pull the back circular bolt to open the chamber to cycle a round, Why does this happen? Is it the safety? And why dose it seem like the bolt wont go down 1/10 a inch? then im loading one into the chamber.
Mosin keeps locking up after shots, Safety keeps coming on?

I have a rifle that locks up after firing (sticky bolt) but has no issues with the safety like yours.
I believe mine is a locking lug and bolt head issue.
I swapped bolts with another rifle and that fixed the issue in my case.
The problem bolt worked fine in the other rifle too.

Not speaking directly to your issue, since there's a bit more info needed, but seems to come up a lot with bolts sticking on mosins.
A lot of the time this' due to cosmoline inside the receiver ring and elsewhere in the action. Simply wiping down the gun won't remove cosmoline buried deep inside the receiver, especially where the lugs engage the action. As the gun is fired the cosmoline liquifies and flows in between the bolt lugs and locking shoulder. The temperature then rapidly drops and the cosmoline sets hard and causes the bolt to stick.
The solution is to remove the barreled action and bolt from the gun and heat them with a hair dryer - hot as you can handle for as long as you can stick with it. You'll be amazed at how much cosmoline will come flowing out of what appeared to be a clean dry receiver.

Did you use the mosin tool while reassembleing the bolt?

Actually not. Tool never really interested me much, just another Ivan fix anything gadget.

I used the tool last time i put it together lol. I striped and oiled it and its working good now but who knows what will happen at the range. Not sure why the blot locks in place so I cant open it but its fustrating.
