Just want to share these with all Milsurp guys...I know I cannot bring the most of the firearms available into Canada, but the fact that these amazing pieces of history are preserved and people do have a chance to own these in their original state amazes me. So, I am visiting my favorite gunshop in Riga, Latvia again. Among the other new and exciting arrivals they have Mosin M1907 carbine for sale. Upon my close observation it appeared to be all original. I think these things are quiet rare. I am still debating purchasing this one, since the price is quiet high. This one was made by Izhevsk plant in 1912.

Also, they have this interesting Polish trainer(second one from the top)

Also, crates of Polish made PPS-43's. I observed factory codes 11 and 12 in ovals. Some have consecutive serial #'s. Appearing to be brand new firearms made in early 50's.

And some other machine guns...

Holy Sh*t, a 1907 Mosin carbine. Those are rare as rare can get for Mosin collectors.

Don't show Drachenblut here, his great grandfather use to carry one in WW1 and he has been wanting one since his beginning of collecting.

From what I have been told, there are less than seven known examples in Canada, one of which is in a museum.

If you can find someone willing to part, it would probably make a Gewehr 43 purchase look like pocket change.

The price for M1907 is EUR 3500.00. So, it is high. And yes, firearms are exportable from Latvia.
The gun laws are quiet restrictive here...BUT...concealed carry is allowed with any pistol with barrel length no longer that 5 inch I believe, and any caliber not higher than 9mm. No magazine capacity limits here. Other calibers are allowed for sport shooting purposes(in neighboring Lithuania and Estonia any caliber allowed for concealed carry). Silencers are illegal here( in Estonia it's allowed, but during range sessions only). Select fire are OK to own, but no live round discharge allowed(blanks are OK). For live round discharge the firearm must be converted to semi-auto. Also, select fire guns are OK to carry, if you are involved in security business and licensed accordingly. Every firearm with rifled barrel must be test fired every 5 years to confirm its ballistic signature(if barrel changed it must be re-submitted). Also, every firearm, whether it's a smooth barreled, short barreled or a military type is a subject of registration with local police within 3 days of purchase. De-activation involves plugging the barrel and grinding off the firing pin, if desired....
