Hello Nutz... Does anyone know where I can pick up some 7.62x54r ammunition for a decent price (under $22 per 20) in Southern Ontario? All I can seem to find is hunting rounds which cost over a buck a shot :S. Thanks!
 
Marstar has lots of Czech surplus, $199 per 800. It is corrosive, but bolt actions are easy to clean.

This price is mainly for comparison, there should be others closer to you that carry surplus ammo.
 
The Marstar stuff is good. I put 800 blasts through both my SVT40 and my little M44.

Don't let the "corrosive" scare you away. Just clean them when you get home and everything will be cool. Ammunition has been corrosive for ages, their gun's didn't go to rust five minutes after shooting :p
 
Excellent, thanks for the input. I think I'll put an order through. I'm not sure how much I'll shoot now. All I thought before when I pulled the trigger was "BANG...there goes $1.25"

Has anyone ordered ammo through Marstar? What was shipping costs like?
 
My two actually came through Marstar; A crate of the little 7.62x39mm and the big 7.62x54mmR.

Shipping costs is about $25 or $30 I think... they have to ship it through Canpar and it's delivered right to the door. They're good, but a little slow, I thought... but maybe I was just being impatient :runaway:
