Mosin Nagant and Prvi Partizan Ammo...

Hey milsurp CGN'ers

I couldn't find any direct reference to the use of Prvi Partizan manufactured 7.62x54R (the only locally available ammo) in the Mosin Nagant 1891/30 so I was wondering if you guys/gals could publish your findings regarding accuracy? I understand we're all at different levels of marksmanship but any info is good info!

Shoots absolutely awsome in my Polish #11 M44's. 2 inch groups at 100 yards are normal. My handloads are more accurate but the Privi stuff is great ammunition.

yup. great stuff in both my m38 and the 91/30. its the only commercial stuff availabe around here too, but i remember Seller&Bellot being around, and it was about the same quality. Great shooting, great for reloading.

Where in NS are you getting the ammo? I cannot find any around here.

Last I found I bought at the Truro gun show but now I am reloading my own anyway.

The Army/Navy store on Agricola St. in Halifax sells Prvi.

If you can find any, it is supposed to be pretty good for shooting and reloading.

Yes , It is excellent quality brass and very accurate ammo in 6.5 X 55 swedish and 7.62 X 54R anyway. Those are the only two I have fired and I've shot a lot of it. Never one problem of any kind and superb accuracy.
