Mosin nagant chamber cracking????

i have a 1938 carbine and noticed that right where the enterence to the chamber is it looks like the right side is coming apart is it supposed to be shaped weirdly like this? i havent noticed any cases cracking or anyhting and i have put around 100 rounds through this gun ill try to post a pic later.

If you're describing what I think you are it's supposed to be like that. That's where the ejector fits when the bolt is closed.
