Mosin Nagant M-38 Marking Question

I have a new M-38 Mosin. There are some markings on the reciever that I do not understand. There is a box with a vertical line in it under the date. The refurbishment mark was marked on the upper right, but what is the small T in a box on the bottom right?

I've got a question about the stock marking on my 1944 M-38 -
On the left side of the stock there is a 12 stamped in a triangle near the butt plate, does anyone have any information about what that means? Its a laminate stock if it helps. It almost reminds me of a chicom factory 26 marking on a SKS.

Laminate. Pics? Not an M44 stock with a bayonet cut out on the right side? If not, NEAT.

EDIT sorry Drach, glad to see you fianally got your "NOT A 1943!" M38 =)

It is not a WW2 period stock, wrong type of wood lamination pressed steel escutcheon sling slots and re-enforcing bolt are all Post-WW2 features.
 
JP thanks for the advice - just wondering what you mean by the wrong type of lamination? Also I was wondering if you've seen the Summary of Conclusions before at:

I was under the impression that this stock was period correct for a 1944, but I am certainly no expert - I only go by what the internet tells me is the truth! LOL

Either way this rifle is so much fun to shoot - I'll never part ways with it!

- Yes it is a proper M-38 stock, but of the type used after WW2 and not in 1944.

It is proper lamination type for a Post WW2 stock, but not for a Wartime stock. Post-WW2 like yours has a large wood splice section lamination similar to modern plywood. WW2 lamination used on the M-38 and M-44 stocks is similar to German K98 stock, very narrow section lamination more like a layer cake. M91/30 stocks were only laminated after WW2.
