Mosin Nagant M38 need help

Hello,

I just picked up an M38 and took it out to the range. After I put a few rounds through it I noticed the top and guard started to slip forward.
When I went to push the rear band forward past the leaf spring to push the guard back the spring just fell out.

I researched and found that its a common problem for the rear band to slip over the spring and found some solutions to make it not happen. But in my case the pin that attaches to the spring broke, or was broken already.

I am having a hard time finding a replacement, if anyone can give me any info as to where I can find a replacement or some other way to fix this issue. It would be greatly appreciated.
