Hello guys/ gals I have a p-26 hex mosin nagant I know it is a little more rare then the common ones you find at canadian tire. I'm just not sure how to figure out how rare or not rare it is. Any info, links or insight from someone that knows about them would be greatly appreciated. I posted up some links to pics of the gun not sure if I did it right as I'm a newbie and might have

One sold at a gun show here last spring in the neighbourhood of $200. That was a Sunday special too. That may not tell you much.

I don't think that they really get much recognition next to some of the more well known Finn rifles.

The one I have is a fin I wish there was a app for this site I don't have a computer and running this page on a phone is not so user friendly I'm going to try a get some pics of this gun posted tomorrow

Looks nice so far. The P series one I saw wasn't in M91 configuration. I know nothing about yours.

Except that They're all Finn rifles ;)

Basically shot out guns that were bored out and re-lined. You have to respect the great lengths those fellows went through to not only arm their country, but to have a better rifle than their bad neighbours to the south had.

If I'm. Thinking right that p26 is in my brothers safe!!

Yes I found the one I have was drilled out and inserted.the general that called for this to happen was stripped of his rank till they found what he was doing made the rifle shoot far better then the original m 91. He had his rank and was reinstated back in the milatary. But as for the rarity of this particular Finn p 26 I'm having a hard time finding. what I read is depending on front blade site, fasteners on the wood type of rear site and marking on the gun. I'm hoping to find a site or someone that knows about the Finn 26 and the different styles that were made on these models

P-series rifles were relined, marked as P-26, P-27, or (even more scarce) - unmarked.
They are scarce indeed, but most ppl can't tell the difference from Soviet refurb. It's mostly like "What? $500 for Moesen Nogan? Haha, I can get them for $160 in CT!". Normally (when there's a knowledgeable buyer) they go for $500-$1000 depending on sub-variation and condition.
