Sorry for posting this one in the wrong forum. There is a Model91 Russian Mosin Nagant for sale at $250. Bore is excellent as well as stock, all matching numbers, no bayonnet or sling. Is this a reasonable price ?

Are those 91/30's from SIR listed on their website?

I don't think that they are. They're 145 bucks (I think it's the same for an m44 or 91/30) and they come with an ammo pouch, oil bottle, bolt tool, and a basic cleaning kit. They do have import marks if that is a big deal.

No, not from Sir website. Belongs to an old european man living close to home.

Import marks suck! Those are a dime a dozen.

Claven is more on line here with the price in my opinion. Of course we are assuming that it is a M91, and not a 91/30. That said, there are versions of both the 91 and 91/30 that I have (and would again) pay considerably more then 250 for. For example, a non-finned Westinghouse, or Remington M91, a Chatellerault m91, or any of them made before 1900. If you can post pics of the marking, we can better give you a feel for it.

Failing that, using the guide here:

Letting us know the specifics of the rifle would help tremendously.

Just the fact that you say it is a m91 in excellent condition with matching numbers leads me to believe it is worth the 250.

Yeah, M91s are much more valuable.

Incidentally, our of curiosity, is it un-Finned? I've been looking for a "pure" Rusky for awhile.
