Those ATI kits are junk writ large.

Do yourself a favour- buy one of the snipers for sale by our various vendors. The quality is pretty good, good scopes, good workmanship, and you avoid junk like ATI.

The only thing is you will need to collimate the scope mount for windage, but you will have to do that regardless.

or buy a pu or pe scope /mount and proper style bent bolt and gat yr local smith to set it up..........i chose that route and am very please with my repo pe and pu snipers .
 
Better get a PE/PU repro setup and a bent bolt from someone like 'Boltman' in the US. He ships to Canada.

I know someone who had the ATI conversion - not happy with it. Couldn't sell it until he dropped the price HUGELY.
 
Hey That ATI mount is garbage, so is the no gunsmith mout... They dont hold their zero wirth a damm.... I had both and got rid of them after my 1st trip to the range..

I just ordered a real repo sniper mount on ebay for 60$

They are some that pop up from time to time on EE as well...

as for the bent bolt order from Boltmen or watch EE
 
I have a M91/30 that I am going to keep in original condition. Now, in the near future I plan on getting another M91/30 with the intention of making it into a sniper. what exactly should I look for when buying this rifle. I understand I want a high wall receiver, a bent bolt (do they just come that way or will i have to convert it?) also, should
I look for an X-sniper?

The ex snipers have diamond hard welds over the hole locations for the scope base. It's much easier converting a normal rifle.

But, price it out first. @ $750, you can't do much better yourself. You have to pay for the scope, mount, base kit, taps, dies, labour, rifle, etc etc and it's possible to do a bad job.
The ready made sniper repros are well done and not much more if not a bit less than doing it yourself.
 
750$ is way to much money for a repo

150-200 For a Mosin
60$ repo PU mount on ebay
70$ repo Scope ebay
50$ for bent bolt.

Drill and Tap yourself ( its included in the Kit )

Max cost will be 400$

My M44 sniper came in at 340$ ....
 
I thought that the repo's were ex-sniper rifles?

Are they not the model's with the high wall reciever's?
I am so lost...
