Mosin Nagant Snipers went up in price in USA

I don't think too many are going to move in Canada at over a grand.

I consider current pricing high for rifles that are often sold without being individually graded on condition or as to markings. I won't pay $850+ for a pig in a poke.

Prices will go up no matter what, but the rate it goes up is probable slower (better) here.

It's not like we're getting 'new' ones anytime soon either. Whatever stock there already is in country, that's it. Factor in some that break, others that are given to the cops during these amnesty programs; less of them means higher $ amounts for each of them.

Don't they have a ban on all the firearms imports from Russia and China?

I think it counts more for the price rising.

Check the SKS price over there.

I just picked up a PU sniper from crappy tire, it was the last one they had with a scope ( they had another but the scope was gone?)
It was $799 which is a bit much for a mosin and the stock doesn't look very nice it looks like a drunken Iven tried smearing some brown paint over the thing with a corn broom lol

The bore is nice on it and it's a Tula which is a bonus, but the markings on the barrel shank are very faint I can only make out a 9 and a 3 on the year stamp so assuming it's a 43. The Tula star is very faint too
I would like to get the stock refinished because it looks terrible ( yeah I know it's a sin to do so) does anyone know anybody who refinishes these?

As far as the rising prices on these, it doesn't surprise me as everything is going up and if the supply dries out then the cost goes up
Look how much a Finn mosin and a Swiss k31 have gone up

Why start these threads?
Let people buy stuff because they want to, not out of fear of future prices.

Sks’s doubling in price, buy now!!!

I have refinished a mosin stock with shellac keeping it like the original finish. Search for "My-1938-M91-30-to-M38-Project-or-M91-59" in CGN for a picture of the project.

You would think the Canadian market was starving for combloc relics given the way westrifle continues to talk of impending doom.

Yes the supply will eventually stop. And by then, everyone who wants a nagant will have one.

I guess with the $500-$700 Norinco SKS', these may be unqiue to the american market. I wouldn't use this as a guide to jack up canadian prices.

I am telling you what is happening in USA. We are buying from the same people and same people can not export from Russia. Did I ever say buy from me?? Again I have no issues selling my products. It is you as consumer should be aware of all things happening on the market.

Russian SKS went up in price and those will go up more. Mosin has been going up in Canada, but no one has noticed that much. Prices went up higher than SKS prices by %

I guess sometimes, your notes at the bottom are reversed, welcome to the difference between 30 million and 300 million, when it comes to a finite amount of product, there are a lot more collectors and firearms consumers in the U.S. In relation to Canada, so their market can sustain a higher price, at least for now! In Canada, not so much!

I have all numbers matching mosin sniper, scope serial number is on reciever and mount matches rifle serial number, I don't see too many of those anymore. Look what happened to $250 dollar SVT-40's now are 650 plus!

I was in a gun shop in Ill 6 months ago, I noticed then that plain Moisins were 250US, bullets for reloading were dollar/dollar the same. If 1000 Berry's are 105 can here, they were 105US there. Some handguns were dollar/dollar the same price too.

Yes, I have noticed that with a lot of firearms and ammo/components, with our dollar down so much too! Hope it lasts, antique forearms used to be cheaper but even those are getting up there!
