I ordered some Mosin Nagant stripper clips from Marstar, Got them today, Marstar #mis-096 7.62x54, Loaded them tried them in my 91-30 and m38, They worked great, the slickest loading stripper clips I have ever used, no cuts to hand, clips fit perfect in rifles. These stripper clips look like original Russian stripper clips. At $2.10 each(not cheap) but worth every penny,Bought another 45 of them, My advice...Give then a try, you will throw away the cheap ones on market now, I know I did.

Polish arsenal surplus from post war production. Exactly the same design, only better quality metal than the Soviet stuff.

Just saying.

I got 10 of those too. I didn't know they were surplus. I thought they were new. They work great in both of my SVT's and in my Mosin. I just have to make sure I put the shells in properly since I got rim lock a couple times. Completely my fault and not the actual stripper clips.

They are new, in a way. Just because they're surplus, doesn't mean they were actually issued.

Poland set aside huge stores of Mosins for militia (conscript) units. They also used the SVT as an officers academy training rifle well into the 60s (possibly later). They stamped out a large number of 7.62x54R stripper clips to go along with them, and these also got put up in storage for "just in case".

The reason why Martin has such nice quality Mosins, SKS's, SVT's, and accessories (any other dealer have significant stock of SVT bayos, mag pouches? ) is he's been digging into the Polish arsenals.

Those arsenals aren't as deep as the ones in the Ukraine, but from what I can tell, Martin's the first one in there skimming the cream off the top.

10 years from now we'll look back at this as the golden years of Red surplus. Too bad we're getting skunked on the AK's and Dragunov's because of silly laws.
