is there someone on here that can help me with the value of a 1953 model.a friend is a widow now and wants to sell this firearm.all serial numbers match and it has a bayonet.
thanks for your time.

If it’s short (40 inches total length) with a bayonet that’s folds into a stock with a cutout for it it is most likely a polish M44 carbine, as above around $750

thanks for the responses.the gun is 40 inches overall with the side folding bayonet.it is in very good shape.there is a B in a circle on the stock as well as a 2. there is also a 1 near the hole that the sling would fit through.

Could also be a Hungarian one, those are usually in rougher shape and sell for $400.00 to $500.00 range.

I have noticed when selling arms on the EE it is best to wait till there is a low volume of said firearms or products you are listing and in a trend if listed there will be a similar item listed at a similar price soon enough. Supply and Demand really.

With the polish rifles the value varies on condition. the one I listed is in excellent to perfect condition with a factory done stock correction at time of manufacture. With Russian M44's rising to 550-600 it only makes sense that the Polish rifles command a 30-50% premium. PM me with some pictures and i'll try and help ya with identification if you need.
