mosin or svt?

Both are great guns ,I usually shoot corrosive ammo so I find the Mosin is very simple to clean, SVT has quite a few more parts so takes longer to take apart/clean but both are great shooters and a lot of history in them.

Get both of them lol. They both are fun to shoot, if you get a svt 40 try to find the gas system tool. It makes field stripping a lot easier

did the OP say he was looking for a needle in a haystack? Just because certain mosins are rare doesn't mean they're ALL going to be that way anytime soon. I'm going to agree with daniel_250r that on the most part, the mosin-nagant 91/30 as a whole is not going to become a rare firearm anytime soon.

That's what they said about all those firearms with that funny looking SA stamped on the barrel. There weren't as many imported as people seem to believe and if you want a perfect example of what can happen to the price of a firearm in a short time all I need to do is say GARAND.

Right now only P&S that I know of. There are some presales going on though, at several site sponsors.

Thanks De. I remember when the 91s where everywhere for $129 and the 44s where $189. Now the 44s aren't seen much and the $129 Mosins seem to be missing. I keep telling myself I need another 30 cal rifle like I need a hole in the head, but at a Mosin's price, better to have one on the safe than regret it.

Mosins may not be rare, but dealer sales are drying up and Russian stocks are dwindling so prices will go up.
Still got my refurbed Sniper and another Laminated 91/30 refurb.
Both are very accurate with very good bores. :)
