Well, I took the M44 out yesterday and I have to say that I sure like the feel. I can see it will be crucial to find some ball( Iwas told to look for the YELLOW tip stuff) as I went thru 20 really fast. The kick in mine with the 147gr. felt less than a .308 that I was lent. At fifty yards (only had one box of ammo) she was printing left +or- 8" with 5 shots in 5"or 6 inches and just a tad high. So I guess I'll drift the front sight left a bit(any advice?). The 91/30 is still in the closet. I gotta say I don't know much about the pin protrusion measuremnt with the tool kit gauge, but the 91/30 is too high to fit under. What are the risks of this. How far can you back out the pin? Or just forget about it and buy another box. I guess the after market ammo like the bell I got isn't corrosive?
