Mosin PU Sniper scope screw question

Hello all!

I have a decent reproduction Mosin 91/30 PU sniper. However there is one issue with it. However it is missing one of the 3 scope ring screws that keep the optic tight in place. Does anyone know where I could acquire one, or even know what thread pattern it is?

RSM and accumounts both make reproduction mounts they can probably send you a screw but I don’t know if they use original spec screws or a more common modern thread. Same could be true of the whomever made your mount unless you know who made it tough to know if they used original screws. Take out one screw and and any machinist could make you something to match.

Take out one of the screws and go to a place that has bins of SAE and metric screws. By laying the two shafts against each other you will be able to see if one is a match. My guess is that it a common metric.

Home Depot has a handy aisle with fasteners, and a board where you can try your screw into multiple nuts until you get the correct thread.
