Mosin Question

Hey all!

I have just recently picked up a '44 Izzy Mosin. It is a sniper variant, and I think I may have stumbled across a bit of a rarity. On the side of the receiver, there are 2 series of X's stamping out numbers. If I am not mistaken these numbers are the ones that correspond with the serial # of the scope that was associated with the rifle correct? Now, just above that row of X'ed out numbers, there is another row of numbers that as well have been X'ed out, and these are the ones in question. I can make out what the top number is through the X's (A69455). Upon inspection of my scope, it is also A69455.

Now, my question being - after the war and when the rifles went for refurb, was this just a stroke of dumb luck that I got a scope that was actually associated with this rifle at one time?? Or is there something I'm missing? If so, this little easter egg just jumped in value! All numbers match (minus the bottom of the mag housing, which has a number X'd out and the rifle number stamped in beside it).

Thanks for any and all input!
