Looking for a real mosin PU Sniper. Who currently has these rifles or are they all reproductions and how to tell ? Thanks

PS militaria has some authentics, there areafew retailers right now that have them. There was a batch that made their way from overseas recently.

I picked one up recently at Canadian Tire in Brandon Manitoba. It was Arsenal refurbished, but no reproduction parts. They had 3 at the time. I am quite happy with my purchase. Especially since I dropped 100 Canadian tire dollars on it. Since then I have seen that Canadian tire on Leila in Winnipeg has at least one as well.

Do all the refurb PU rifles have the scope number etched on rifle itself in all cases ?

On these rifles it has been ground off, not stricken out, but in the ones I saw on close inspection you can still make out parts of the numbers that once made up the original scope numbers. No doubt about them being original snipers. The one I picked up had a pristine bore and crown.
