Hi.Local shop has a mosin nagant sniper.all numbers match except the scope.overall in pretty decent shape.asking 600.00.what do you all think?input and opinions appreciated.thank you.
 
If its a repro then its 50$ to much but if its a legit rufurbed sniper then its a good deal, they tend to go for about 650$ so if the bore and the scope are in good condition then I say go for it.
 
For 50 bucks more, you can get one of the Arsenal rebuilt rifles with everything matching including scope from Tradex or P&S Militaria. It's up to you, but for an extra 50 bucks, I'd go all matching.
 
The Arsenal rebuilt ones have the scopes and mounts electro pensiled to match just like allot of Russian refurbished rifles out there so they aren't technically all matching numbers.
 
Not true. I have a 43 from tradex and it looks 100% original. Numbers are punched on the period correct PU scope and matches the numbers punched on the barrel. No signs whatsoever of old numbers being scrubbed off and re-hit. It looks like it came off the field, and into my safe. I dont imagine I will ever sell this beauty.

Moral of the story, spend the 50 extra and get the good one.
