I have a Mossy 144 with Lyman sights, the T-handled bolt, rail on bottom, etc... I was wondering if anyone knew what magazines would fit this rifle, and if any are available and where. I have been considering adding a scope at some point, would I be better off using a rail mount then add rings- as the reciever is grooved. If I used rings, which would you reccommend? They would have to be high ones whereas if I didn't remove the front globe, the scope will have to be fairly high so as not to have the sight in view of the scope. Appreciate any and all input. medium rings for the dovetail grooves fit the bill as I have scopes on all my Mossys. The Mossberg mags can probably be found at Western Gun Works..Edmonton. Getting pretty scarce. That's why I went to the tube mag rifles. Nothing to get lost nor have to be replaced.
