Mossberg 146b

It has honestly become my only .22 I love mine so much. It's accurate with most everything, and a total laser beam with certain ammo. Mine loves tenex and is capable of 1/2" at 50 under the right conditions with it, especially since I put a bigger scope on it. But I usually shoot RWS or SK std+, eley club, cci std etc.. and around 5/8" groups is the norm with most ammo.
Hand lapped bores, colour case hardened wear parts, adjustable crisp triggers, Superb stock inletting, excellent balance, numerous front sights and swing away rear peep, smooth bolt operation, flawless reliability, holds 20rds... I mean come on.

If I had to pick something I didn't like it would be the trigger guard... I made a blued steel replacement that I like much, MUCH better. Checks the whole "only wood and steel" box, which matters to me. I'd post pics, but I haven't figured out how since Photobucket went kaput. And I suppose some people don't like the tube mag, personally I prefer them on a .22.

Hi, newb here my first post, greetings from south of the border, first of all I'd like to say what a great site this is,bunch of great people!! Just a little info on me, retired paternmaker living in the Boondocks step out the backdoor and pop a few off. Have been recently reinfected with .22 rimfire disease. Bought my first .22 over 60 yrs. ago!!!!!! Soooo I recently acquired a mossy 146ba!!!!.! WOW it is amazing. Put on a 3/9 and holy cow. Even I can keep 5 at 50 yds. Inside of a nickle. Who da thought.Any way the old girl has a problem, the bolt handle rotates up (counterclockwise) just a few degrees, and so the bolt moves back away from chamber maybe .010 to .020 thousands, causing too many ftfs. So any help/advice from you mossy guys will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Dugin
