Hi Everyone,

Would this be a good project? I just picked one up, it needs a bit of tlc, but I think I can make it shine again, I will post some pictures on monday. I just wanted to ask what everyone thought about these?

I have 2 - 151M rifles and a 152K semi auto. Previous to them I had a 352KA. Nice handling, accurate........ and easy maintaining is all they need. Over 100 yard shots are easily accomplished. Plus they give a "military look".

IMHO they are fantastic .22 rimfires.

These were built back in the time that rifles were expected to shoot well out of the box without having to replace parts to make them shoot better like today's 10/22's.

If you are restoring one these folks are great...

BTW do you have any pics?
Also did it come with any aperture sights?

I had a 151K that had a few miles on it (spent 30 years as a rabbit gun in a deer camp) but was very reliable and a good shooter. It would be a great project for you.

I also like Mossies owning a 26b, US44, 146b, 152b, 472 in .30-30, a 195k and a new SA 20. I like them all

Another Mossberg fan here!! Those are great rifles! Mine are as follows: 42M(b); 42M (c); 152; 151K(a); 151M(c) 146b [x2]; 146b(a); 340b. Regards, Eagleye

Mossbergs are crap. They're poorly made, prone to rust, high maintenance, inaccurate, jam-o-matics, ugly, they smell, and they'll make your hair fall out. DON'T get fooled by these people who say they like them. Get rid of it before it infects your mind.

;)

Yes, I can see they are bad, bad guns. Terrible that they seem to hide away and make themselves at home. Mine also do not want to leave. They must put out some sort of "magic" spell over us so we will let them stay...lol...lol..Mossey magic...???????

The Selkirk range will see these babies when it warms up a bit. I have not fired the 151s yet and want to see how they shoot. Gopher season is right around the corner.
