I am taking my recently aquired 151m out to play this weekend and was wondering if anyone has found ammunition that seems to work the best or any that these guns don't seem to like?

Mine prefers Dynapoint GT's out of what I have tried so far, Make sure it is clean, mine seems to be sensitive to getting gunked up and needs a cleaning every 500 rounds or so at the longest.

I have an old 46bb been fooling around with. I find winchester t22 really good but with a few dudes now and then, I shoot federal gameshok 710 which shoot really good out of my cz also. Available at canadian tire if they have stock, 4 bucks a box.

my model 51 and 2- 151s like the winchester 333ammo. The Dynapoints work also but I found that they did not have the knock down hit that I like to see when gopher hunting. For the range, dynas work ok but try several solid point manufacturers and see which you particular gun likes. I use 333s both range and fields as the gun's scopes are sighted for that brand.

Cleaning the bolt actins will be a great idea after 500 rounds. The residue does build up and affects the firing pins mainly. very easy to disassemble and clean, accurate to a "T" up to 100 yards. i can attest to that as many hours this summer were spent shooting either one Mossy or another, as well as my Marlin 81s.. daily count was about 700+ between myself and my son.

Hey there sigma1, I have a 4bb as well, do you find that with certain types if ammo (federal bulk copper plated hp for example) tend not to load right where the round doesn't seem to go up high enough in the bolt so it doesn't engage breach properly and jams. I ran through a few boxes of different types and manufacturers and found some work better than others. am I the only one with this issue? maybe i will give the t22's a try but i am wondering if loading hollow points are the problem.
