Hi folks, I have a Mossberg 1550 in .270 Win that I'm looking at adding a scope to. Doing some research it appears this is a rebadged Howa 1550, and mounts for a Rem 700 appear to fit this. Can anyone confirm that for me?
I'm thinking of going with a 4-12x40 or maybe 56, does anyone have a similar setup? Looking for suggestions and if it's the right direction to go or not for this one. The rifle has maybe 50 shots fired through it, so lots of life in it and hoping to use it for a while then look at other options down the road a little. Primary use is target, and maybe a hunt or two over the next couple years. I'm in Alberta, and depending on the range I head to, have options out to 1400 yards, so well beyond my abilities for sure!!
I'm also wondering if there may be anyone out there that has done reloads for this rifle, and can share what has worked for them, I want to start reloading and thought maybe there's someone that has already done some legwork and may help me narrow down some options for when I start.
