I have one of these (in 3inch .410) that I bought used at a gunshow and found out that it does not clip feed. Any ideas why and/or how to remedy this? At present it is a single shot bolt action. The problem seems to be that either the clip won't hold a shell in it or if it does, the shell is at such a steep angle that it won't feed into the chamber but jambs up against the top of the hood. Is it because I'm using 2 1/2 inch shells instead of 3 inch or is the gun missing a part?

It's a nice light easy handling gun but kind of useless as a repeater.

Any thots?

Jim:
Try it with 3" shells first and let us know how you make out. Secondly, if you can take the magazine follower out, check the spring underneath to see if it is able to move without binding. It is possible someone had it apart and bent the magazine walls out of whack.
Does the magazine sit firmly in the action? No movement up and down?

3 inch shells

I tried the 3 inch shells and there is a slight improvement. The clip will hold ONE shell and feeds it into the breach a bit better but still sketchy. No chance on getting a second shell into the clip, it just jams. I'm going to try and dismantle the clip (it's an internal clip) and see what I can find inside it. Thanks for the help.

Check to see that the follower is original and not homemade, if it does not travel the full depth of the magazine with no spring attached, that could be your answer. It does sound like the mag walls or spring is binding.
