Just picked up a mossberg 151M-B 22 semi auto, wondering if it`s military. Has full stock, peep sight and 4 different front sights that rotate into place. Also wondering where I can get a hood for the front sight.

No it is not military. The 151 series was never a military trainer. In fact, I believe the model 44 and the 42Mb were the only mossberg military trainers.
At $125.00 you stole the gun. The sights are worth $180.00 on ebay.

Since the peep sight swings out of the way and the receiver is grooved, does anyone know what would be the proper scope for this rifle?

Back in the day it probably took something like a Mossberg 4M4C scope. However, any dovetail rimfire mount should fit it so you can mount pretty much any modern scope on it if you want decent optics.

Check on here with lever 76 , Archer Sam or gunrunner100. Either may have one. If not you can get them from Numrich or Havlins in the US. But havlin's won't ship to Canada and Numrich charges the postage plus a $25.00 foreign country fee. Maybe you can have someone in the US order you one. You will also find them on ebay.

Nice find for sure. Gunsaholic is right about the sights. Plus the sling swivels are another $30-40. At $125 it was a steal for sure.
I haven't got any extra hoods at this time. Lever 76 usually has some. I think I need a couple of hoods myself come to think of it.

They are a great gun, I have the same model. It loves CCI standard velocity, enjoy your new rifle!
