Isn't buying a Mossberg rifle more like buying a burger from McDonald's? You kind of know that you shouldn't but you do it because it is convenient and cheap.

Burgers at McDonald's are expected just like cheap shotguns at Mossberg. However, rifles and Mossberg just don't go together.

Buy the house's specialty and don't expect them to do well at anything else. But I hear you, Mossberg is more of a MacDonald's than it is french cuisine for sure.

I'm a big fan of their shotguns. The 500 can't be beat for a $100 pump. Try to find an 870 for that. The 4x4's, however, are junk. Mossberg should stick to shotguns.

My friend bought a 4x4 in 30-06 and it wouldnt fire, the cut the firing pin too short so it wasnt striking the primer hard enough. it was a POS. he sold it and got a rem. 700 best gun he ever got
