Mossberg 44US 22LR rifle value?

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me the approximate value of a Mossberg
44US 22LR rifle complete with the original scope. It was purchased about 60 years ago and is in excellent condition. It belonged to my Grandpa and since he passed on we are looking to sell it.

I've seen them at shows, and in the EE. They vary from $150 to $250 depending on condition

"...the original scope..." Unless I'm confused again, there was no issue scope. What make is the scope?

Maybe the scope that was originally purchased with the rifle? Could be one of the Mossberg .22 scopes sold at the same time as this rifle was sold. Remember the rubber cone around the ocular?
Anyway, these are good shooting vintage .22 rifles. Don't know if they actually sell for as much as $250, though.
