mossberg 464 lever gun

My magic 8-ball says "Reply hazy, try again".

Just kidding around, I've heard some decent things about the 464 (kinda wish I'd bought one rather than my POS remlin 336), It'd be pretty cool if they came out with a 45-70 (maybe with a 26" barrell and full length magazine....oooooh. That'd be ###y)

Hee-hee...I used to have one of those 8-balls myself. :)

Ya with all the crap remlin is putting out I wanna stay clear of it. I love the look of the stainless and pepper laminate stock but I have no use for a 3030. A 45-70 would be nice tho

I'm so impressed with my 22 version I'm looking at a centerfire. Perhaps I'll hold off until they do come out with a bigbore. Even a .44 magnum would be nice.

It's not a Mossberg at all; it's accurate without any sloppiness in the action and with all the safety mechanisms it has greatly improved my posture and grip and has made me a better shooter.

I think the Mossy 464 is a real sleeper. With the issues of the Remlin these days, and the high price of the new Winchester Mod 94's this Mossy fills in the gap real nice if you are looking to buy new. Otherwise there are a tonne of used classic Winny's and Marlin's out there to choose from.

Anyone know if they fixed the extractor issues with these? When they first came out people were breaking extractors left and right, sometimes on the first shot.

People told me there were extractor issues too, but I've been shooting mine regularly since I bought it in early 2008 and hasn't have one single feeding, shooting or extracting issue. It's reliable like a Win 94.

I haven't been able to find one. Where did you get yours?
