Mossberg 4x4 cycling

I bought one of the Marine Cote 4x4 7mm's, skeleton stock, totally didn't need it but it was $300 new and I wanted to check them out. It looks like a transition piece to the Patriots as it has the LBA trigger and spiral fluted bolt, but same 4x4 angled bolt handle.
Metal finish is pretty decent, no complaints there, stock it flimsy garbage and ugly as hell. I haven't even fired it and I'm too embarrassed to list it on the ee to dump it lol. I'll have to take it to the Smith for consignment I guess.

I had one too and paid more for it thank one of my lightly used Howa 1500's. It went to a good home for $200. It functioned fine and makes a good quad gun.

I figured it out. It was a dirty chamber. I had already cleaned it multiple times, but apparently something was still in there. Tried one more time and now it closes much better. It’s hard to believe that something you can’t see can be that much of an intrusion.

Yup. That will do it.

What did you use to scrub the chamber?

The first couple times I only used bore cleaner and a the proper size bore brush and a patch or two. The last time (the time that worked) I used on oversized brush - the one for my 50 cal muzzleloader. It would be too big for most calibers, but fit into the .270 short mag chamber well.
