Mossberg 500 20g question...

I just bought my wife a brand new 20g (screw in chokes) for valentines day, Im the first to take it out of the box...(or so i thought I was) first thing I noticed, no manual... second thing I noticed, there is a remington trigger lock key in the box... but I dont see the funky trigger lock button on the rifle...

I dont mind that the box has likely been opened...wholesale will get me a manual... but does the key actually belong to the rifle ? its a green plastic tube with remingtons name on the side of it, little goofy L shaped tool that (as Ive ever seen) operated that little button on the trigger guard... but I dont see any place on the trigger where this would go...

The green key is for Remington "J" lock equipped firearms. It is not for use with your 20 bore. You should have gotten a cable type key lock for your Mossberg.
