A chap is wondering if a rifled Mossberg barrel could be retrofitted to his Marlin Goose Gun, to make a rifled bolt action slug gun. The barrel shank on the GG is about 1.04-22. The Mossberg barrel extension is on the barrel quite tight. Couldn't budge it using reasonable force with my barrel vise and round receiver wrench, and didn't want to risk damage. If I can find out what the barrel shank threads are, I would know if it is possible to retrofit the Mossberg barrel to the Marlin. If the thread diameter is larger, the shank could be rethreaded to fit the Marlin.
