brought home a 12 guage persuader today 20" 8 shells in the tube, desert camo. new, paid 250 for it. looked pretty abused as a demo gun but cleaned up really well and looks good now, although the camo doesnt look like a really good job.

my father seen it and now wants to trade his blued mossberg 500, 18 1/2" 6 shell tube for mine. he paid 350 a while back and ran a few slugs thru it. its basically still looks new.

what do you guys think? is it a fair trade? i dont want to rip em off. he likes the extra capacity though. or should i tell em to go buy one while they still have some cheap persuaders left.

either way one of these guns are going to see some harsh use. thats why i went with the painted camo to try to keep the rust down, my m590 suffered an incident with rust bad enough to turn my hands red after 2 days.

I bought one of those from P&D as well. Great deal IMO. I was a little apprehensive as I could not find any information on the model, or even find a pic of the gun on the web. As soon as it came in, I was thrilled. It's basically a mossy 500 for $250. Can't go wrong with that.

Mossy? Or did you get a 20" Mossberg in Desert Camo pattern? They have them listed as new at P&D for $250

True. I haven't seen any information on that particular model either.

It's a 20" Mossberg 500A 8-shot persuader, cyl bore, not threaded. It's in the same desert camo as their cruiser, but with a full buttstock.

I'm too comfortable to get my camera.

yup awsome deal at P&D, but my major concern is if he trades me will the camo job look like crap in a while. i dont want to ruin his mint gun and both us be stuck with ratty guns.

oh well, i gues i wil put the camo one through the ringer first to see how it stands up, it didnt cost much anyway

Bah, for 250 I consider it a beater camp gun. Yes, the paint will chip and scratch off eventually, but that's why man invented Krylon in easy spray cans :)
