Hey guys, I picked up a mossberg 500 field/security combo about 2 years ago. I have slowly been modifying it. It has a Knoxx spec op stock and a Tac Star pistol grip forearm on it right now. I recently got a hogue forearm for it but it does not seem to fit right. I orderd it for a mossberg 500 but the grip seems to be about and inch and a bit to long. The action slide assembly tube is to short so I can not get the nut onto the tube. The grip was only worth 20$ so its not worth sending back. I dremeled out the inside of it so i can get nut on the grip. But after shotting it the grip just pulls off after about 4 shots. What should I be specifying when I order a different one , I want a nice forearm for my shotgun. But is there different models of the 500's or something ?

Mossberg used 2 different length fore arms over the years. 7 5/8" and 6 1/2" long.
