I have exhausted my search for a Mossberg Model 500 SMOOTHBORE 12 ga barrel with rifle sights. Mossberg makes them but apparently no Canadian dealer stocks them. The last dealer I spoke with (good chap) could special order one with a 6 month wait. He could not quote a price due to the special order status. Does anyone here know where a new or used one may be hiding on a dealer's shelf or otherwise? There is no shortage of rifled , cantilevered bottom bush camo ones....

Well it all worked out. I started calling gun shops all across Ontario in search of a smooth bore slug barrel. All dealers were great and made all efforts to help me find a barrel. I called the good people at Perry's in the Sault and lo and behold upstairs on a shelf was a very good condition Mossy 500 smooth bore slug barrel! The price was right and it is on it's way to me as we speak. Soon I will have something else to mess around with that I don't need! Life is good.
